Happy Birthday Rainer!

Happy Birthday Rainer!
(I know this is late. The end-of-the-school-year activities got the better of me)

Rainer was so excited to turn 3. He loved choosing what to have on his cake. I had a fairly good idea what he would ask for, but I asked anyway. When he saw the monster truck, that was the only thing for him.

The night before his birthday, he watched me decorate it. And even though I didn't finish it until 2 in the morning, he stayed awake for the whole thing. (And surprisingly, he was very pleasant the next day despite the lack of sleep.) He even requested that I put a sun on his cake.

He loved everything about his birthday: the cake, the presents, the singing. Everything.

He is such a sweet boy and he is constantly making us laugh. I think him delaying learning how to talk just fine tuned his facial expressions and mannerisms because he is so entertaining to watch. We are so glad he is in our family--he adds so much. How lucky and blessed are we?!
