A visit from Alaska

Sharon Kaye, Brent, and Jacob came down for a visit this past Tuesday. Robert and the kids and I were able to go down to my dad's once Mason and Amanda were out of school. We had tried to set up a family council, but the only other family group that could be there was Nancy, Todd and Aaron.

When we got there, Brent and Jacob were off looking at ammo (I think that out of all of the 50 states, Alaska is a perfect match for Brent what with all of the hunting, and fishing, and hiking and whatnot) and Todd wasn't off of work yet. So, we spent the time talking with Sharon Kaye and catching up with her. We decided to make homemade pizzas for dinner, so while we waited for everyone to show up, we got started on making the pizzas. At one point Nancy took Amanda, Rainer and Aaron on a walk up to the Target to get more garlic and pepperoni. (I think that turned out to be an adventure in and of itself.)

While we ate dinner, we talked and laughed and had a great time. The cousins played with each other and even Aaron and Rainer got along (for the most part).

I'm so glad we got a chance to spend some time with them before they headed back to Alaska. We love you and miss you.
