We have a dryer again!
It has been almost a year since we have had a dryer. And although it has been different having to hang our clothes to dry--I am so grateful and happy and excited and any other word you would like to put in there to have a dryer again. It certainly takes a bit more organization and planning when you have to have clothes dry on the line. It quite literally was an all day event. The spring and the summer weren't so bad, but the winter and rain were awful. Believe it or not, but clothes actually dry faster in the spring than in the summer--the wind is a key factor. And once the heat of summer is gone and the cool of autumn is upon us, jeans and the like take over a day to dry.
Out of all of the benefits of having a dryer, the warm clothes on a cold day, the soft towels, clothes taking only 30 minutes to dry, etc., the thing that I missed the most was the lint being taken off of my clothes. We are so grateful to our friends who gave us the dryer. Thank you.
YEA!!! I guess you don't really realize what a blessing some things are until you don't have them!
