At the end of October, Linda came down for Aaron's sealing to Todd and Nancy. She made the rounds and was able to visit with all of her family still here in California. She stayed with us Thursday and Friday and left Saturday night to go up to our Dad's and spend time with him.
She got to our house late Thursday night and I was dozing when she walked in. Apparently she had knocked on my front door and called me and I didn't answer to either one. She thought she was going to have to sleep in her car, until she had the thought that maybe there was another door that was open. Sure enough, the kitchen door was unlocked. She came in and my fierce guard dogs wagged their tails and greeted her warmly =). I don't think it took me very long to wake up and once I did, we talked until 2 in the morning. The next day she gave me a hair cut (which I desperately needed because I was beginning to feel like a stringy, haired dog). She also taught me how to cut my boys hair, although she had to finish Rainer's hair because we were running out of time. Friday afternoon, we went to Mason's classroom and watched the talent show that they put on. Mason played a song on the trumpet that he had practiced and when he was done the kids in his class shouted out for him to play another song. The kids in band all requested that he play "School Spirit", which is really the Wisconsin song, so he played that also. It was a good little talent show and all the kids that participated did a good job. That night we made pizza and watched a movie (Linda treated us with candy and popcorn so that we could have movie night at home). Later we went in the jacuzzi and just relaxed.

On Saturday, we went to Redlands for the sealing. When we got home, the kids wanted to go to the park, so we walked over there and let them play for awhile. Later that afternoon and evening we played some games and some video games with her. That was a lot of fun! We didn't even know that Robert had taken video of us playing until he played it back for us. Linda is absolutely hilarious to watch when she plays video games!
(this next one might be the best out of the two)
When the kids finally went to bed, she left to go spend the night at my dad's. Sunday we all went out to Corona to go to church with Nancy and Todd and Sharon Kaye and Brent. When church was over, we all went over to Brent and Sharon Kaye's house and had a little get together complete with yummy food. On Monday, once my kids were out of school, we went to my dad's so that we could see Linda one last time before she left the next day to go back home. Being the great sister that she is, she did most of my house cleaning so that by the time I got there it was almost done and we would have more time to visit. Sharon Kaye and Nancy even came over. Since all of us girls were there, my dad suggested that we go through my mom's jewelry to see who wanted what. We had a lot of fun. Sharon Kaye stayed until about 11:30ish and I left around midnight or shortly thereafter.
It was a wonderful week of visiting and we are so glad that we got to spend so much time with her.
OKay... so those videos were hilarious! I loved it!
